Police foil JCD procession
Police foiled a procession of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) and arrested three JCD activists in the town yesterday.
JCD activists, led by its district unit president Rabiur Rahman Titon, brought out a procession from Nimtola crossing of the town at 2pm in protest against government decision to cancel the parole of Arafat Rahman Koko.
Police barred the procession and dispersed it when the procession reached Kanaikhali Stadium area.
Police also arrested three JCD activists, Ripon, Sumon and Ankur, from the spot.
