Girl commits 'suicide'
A teenage girl allegedly committed suicide by taking poison at her residence at village Ataroi in Tala upazila on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Sima Khatun, 14, daughter of Anowar Ali Moral. Sima was a student of class nine at Tala J N Palli Mongal High School. Quoting locals police said, Sima locked in a quarrel with her mother over a trifling matter at about 3pm on Wednesday. Later, she took liquid insecticides in her bedroom at night. She was rushed to Tala upazila health complex in critical condition where she died at around midnight.
