'Stalkers' shoot at protesters
A student of Narsingdi Government University College was shot and injured by a gang while protesting stalking at Brahmandi in the town yesterday.
Witnesses said students of the college brought out a protest procession against stalking at 3:30 pm yesterday and submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
When they returned to the college after submitting the memorandum some hooligans opened fire on the protesters near the college gate, leaving Rana Miah, a 3rd year student of the college, injured.
Rana was first admitted to sadar hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition.
A case was filed with Sadar police station.
