Another held in Pabna cop killing case
Police on Tuesday arrested another person for his alleged involvement in the killing of three policemen at Daspara in Bera upazila on July 20.
The arrestee is Md Sayem Uddin, 35, son of Amjad Mondol of Nayanpur village under Rajbari upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Bera Police Station Sheikh Zillur Rahman said Rajbari police arrested Sayem at Nayanpur village in the morning.
On completion of legal procedure, Sayem will be brought to Pabna for interrogation, the OC said.
Three outlaws-- Nader, Wazed and Rahim-- gave some important information to the police during their remand that will expire today, police said.
Three cops, including a sub-inspector, were shot dead by underground operatives at Daspara village in Dhalarchar of Bera upazila on July 20.
