Brac official injured by muggers, dies
A BRAC official who was shot and injured by a gang of muggers at Gopalpur in Lalpur upazila on Saturday died at Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital on Sunday night.
On July 24, when BRAC staff Abdul Majid was returning to his office at Gopalpur in a bicycle after collecting money, muggers intercepted him at Chamtia on Lalpur-Gouripur road and took away Tk 14,000.
As he tried to resist the muggers they fired gunshots, leaving him critically injured.
