College student, grandmother electrocuted
An Honours student of Chandpur Government College and his grandmother were electrocuted in Amin Road area in Hajiganj municipality of the district yesterday.
The victims were identified as Sohag, 24, and Shahar Banu,65.
Hajiganj fire service sources said, Sohag, son of Karim who is the owner of the five-story building was electrocuted when he was doing some electrical work on the third floor of the house where he lived.
As his grandmother went to save Sohag she also got electrocuted.
Sohag and Shahar Banu died on the spot.
