Sujina's confession recorded
The Judicial Magistrate of Sylhet yesterday afternoon recorded the confessional statement of Government Women's College student Sujina Akhtar Munni under Section 164 in the case involving the killing of college teacher Harun-ur-Rashid.
After the statement, she was sent back to jail hajat.
Munni, along with her friend and classmate Safia Khatun Lipi and three others were taken on three days' remand by Kotwali police on March 30. They were arrested by Rab on March 28 night.
In the confessional statement, Munni narrated how her fiancé Kawsar assaulted and stabbed Harun while Russel and Alimul assisted him, officer-in-charge of Kotwali police station said.
The three other accused-Russel, Alimul and hotel manager Lokman Miah would be produced again before the court as their remand ends today, he said.
Harun-ur-Rashid, associate professor of Sylhet Governement Women's College was beaten up and than stabbed to death in front of his rented house in the city's Goura Govinda tilla area on March 21 afternoon.
Rab caught five of the gang on March 28 night while prime accused Kawsar still remained at large.
