Celebrate Festive Colors with Sailor’s Boishakhi Fashion

Blending the rich roots of Bengali heritage with the spirit of festivity and contemporary fashion, Sailor presents its latest Boishakhi Collection. For the first time, the collection introduces a diverse range including sarees, two-piece and three-piece sets, kurtis, long tops, along with kidswear and full family ensembles.

The fabric selection highlights traditional craftsmanship, featuring half silk, slab half silk, cotton kota, and organza. To ensure comfort during the summer, lightweight and breathable materials such as rayon, voile, and jacquard have also been incorporated. While the classic Boishakhi red and white dominate the palette, the collection also embraces pink, blue, green, and vibrant multicolour tie-dye tones.

The designs showcase motifs inspired by Nakshi Kantha, geometric patterns, and woodcraft, reimagined in a modern aesthetic. Contemporary silhouettes like straight cuts with flare, short tops paired with palazzos, and fusion styles incorporating dhoti and tie-dye create a unique and stylish appeal for the younger generation. Embellishments include screen prints, digital prints, glasswork, tassels, hand stitching, sequins, and embroidery. The looks are further enhanced with coordinated accessories such as glass bangles, necklaces, earrings, footwear, and bags, completing a festive ensemble.

The men’s collection features panjabis, casual shirts, and ethnic shirts. Crafted from lightweight and breathable voile fabrics, the panjabis incorporate Santarangi motifs from Rangpur, along with geometric and tribal elements. Short-length panjabis align with modern fashion trends. Casual shirts are made from rayon poplin with Cuban and Mandarin collar variations, while ethnic shirts combine voile fabrics with colourful prints suitable for both traditional and fusion styling. Tie-dye inspired printed shirts add a lively touch to the collection.

Keeping children’s comfort in mind, the kids’ collection uses cotton and rayon fabrics that are soft, breathable, and flowing — perfect for long outdoor celebrations during Boishakh. The range includes frocks, skirt tops, T-shirts, casual tops, and denim. Additionally, special highlights include mother-daughter matching sarees, kids’ sarees and panjabis, and coordinated full-family outfits.
