Press freedom shouldn't be just on paper
This refers to the article "Models of press freedom" (May 4, 2016). Unfortunately, press freedom is always under threat around the world from various quarters; be it the government, terrorists, fundamental groups or other vested quarters. There are various laws in different nations to shackle press freedom.
Journalists are getting killed in different parts of the world for doing their duty. Bloggers are getting killed in Bangladesh on a regular basis. Press freedom needs to be guarded on a constant basis. The UN should come out with a global charter on press freedom.
