23 die in 24 hours in MMCH Covid unit

Twenty-three patients died while being treated at the Covid unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital during 24 hours till 8am today.

Among them, 10 were positive for coronavirus infection and the rest had symptoms, said Dr Md Mohiuddin Khan Moon, focal person of the hospital's Covid unit.

Of the 23, 14 were from Mymensingh and others were from Netrakona, Sherpur, Tangail and Jamalpur districts.

Three hundred and ninety-nine patients were taking treatment at the unit till this morning. Of them, 22 were in Intensive Care Unit, said Dr Mohiuddin.
