1 Covid-19 death in 24hrs, positivity rate 0.64%

One person died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in the country is currently 29,437 and the death rate stands at 1.45 percent.

At least 19 new coronavirus cases were reported during this period.

The daily positivity rate is 0.64 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.46 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,36,825, the release added.

A total of 2,981 samples were tested across the country during this period. Meanwhile, at least 36 Covid-19 patients recovered in this time.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,86,486 and the recovery rate at 97.53 percent, said the release.

The deceased was a female, aged between 51-60 years old, added the release.
