LPG price cut: 12 kg cylinder now Tk 1,341
Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has revised the retail prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for the month of February today, adjusting the new value-added taxes (VAT).
As per the new pricing, a 12 kg cylinder of LPG will now cost Tk 1,341, down from the earlier price of Tk 1,356.

The BERC notification said the adjustment follows the National Board of Revenue’s decision to withdraw production-stage value-added tax (VAT) on LPG and impose a 7.5 percent VAT at the import stage.
Under the updated price schedule, the price is set at Tk 111.79 per kg, and the prices of cylinders between 5.5 kg and 45 kg will be calculated based on it.
The prices for auto gas (LPG used in vehicles) has also been revised at Tk 61.86 per litre, which was Tk 62.14 per litre earlier.
