After more than a decade, popular actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha is set to return to Bangladesh Television (BTV) through its upcoming Eid special magazine programme “Anandamela”. The actress will be seen performing to a medley of three songs for the show.

ATN Bangla has announced an eight-day special programming schedule to celebrate Eid-u-Fitr featuring 30 dramas, 8 telefilms, and 15 films. The channel will moreover host the TV premiere of seven Bangladeshi movies as part of the lineup.

Speculation is mounting over a possible continuation of the cult-classic “Gangs of Wasseypur” franchise, after Jaideep Ahlawat stirred excitement with a cryptic Instagram story. The actor, known for his role as Shahid Khan, shared a selfie alongside former co-stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Manoj Bajpayee—sparking talk of a long-awaited third instalment.

Providing an insight into the film, he shared, “’Daagi’ is the story of Nishan and Jarin’s love and separation. At the same time, it is also a tale of regret and repentance for these two characters. From the teaser and romantic songs that have been released, I believe the audience has already sensed this.”

OTT platform Deepto Play is set to release five new Turkish films dubbed in Bangla this Eid, offering audiences a mix of horror, drama, and thriller storytelling. The dubbed versions have been voiced by Deepto’s in-house dubbing team, with dialogues penned by their own writers. The films have been produced by Masud Miah.

As always, the special “Ityadi” Eid episode will be aired on Bangladesh Television on the night following Eid, right after the 8pm Bengali news. “Ityadi” is written, directed, and hosted by Hanif Sanket and produced by Fagun Audio Vision.
