The legacy of iconic Bengali detective characters continues to captivate audiences both on the big and small screens in West Bengal. From the timeless Feluda to the perceptive Byomkesh Bakshi, the realm of on-screen sleuths has expanded to encompass enigmatic figures like Gogol, Kiriti Roy, and Shobor.

Amidst this detective fever, Tollywood actor Vikram Chatterjee is in talks to assume the role of one of Bengali literature's beloved detective characters. Industry whispers suggest that a prominent production house is eager to cast Vikram as the renowned detective Kiriti Roy, a fictional creation of the noted author Dr Nihar Ranjan Gupta.

While Vikram's potential involvement in the upcoming project is still in the discussion phase, sources hint that the actor has expressed interest in the opportunity. Notably, veteran artist Chiranjeet Chakraborty previously brought Kiriti Roy to life on-screen, and actor Indraneil Sengupta portrayed the character in various adaptations.

Vikram is currently juggling multiple engagements. He is set to feature in an upcoming film opposite Sohini Sarkar and has recently wrapped up shooting for Tathagata Mukherjee's project, co-starring Angana Roy.
