Raihan Rafi’s upcoming film “Pressure Cooker” is set to release on the big screen this Eid-ul-Fitr. On Friday evening, the third poster of the film was unveiled, with Rafi sharing it on social media and announcing that he is dedicating the film to the late filmmaker Tareque Masud.

The poster, inspired by Tareque Masud’s iconic film “Matir Moyna”, features the line: “Which Matir Moyna will sing the song of my liberation? A tribute to Tareque Masud,” which Rafi described as central to the film’s theme. Speaking about the dedication, Rafi said, “This is my first produced film, and the story is very close to me. I was inspired to make films by watching Tareque Masud; he can be called my mentor. That’s why, as my first produced film, I felt it was truly fitting to dedicate it to him.”

Rafi further elaborated, “Every character in this film tries to find liberation at some point in their lives; they struggle to survive. In that sense, this film will sing the song of liberation for everyone. This is not an ordinary art film or a conventional commercial movie; it is a hyperlink film, where multiple stories come together and merge in one place. Such story-driven films are very rare in our country.”

The official poster also highlights four leading actresses—Shobnom Yesmin Bubly, Nazifa Tushi, Snigdha Chowdhury, and Mariya Hossain Mehnati—without featuring any male lead, signaling that the story revolves around women. The film is reported to portray the distinct journeys of these women as they navigate the pressures of urban life in Dhaka, social conflicts, and personal struggles.

“Pressure Cooker” is produced under the banner of Impress Telefilm, with Faridur Reza Sagar and Raihan Rafi as producers.
