After multiple postponements, "Pinik", starring Ador Azad and Shobnom Bubly, is finally set to hit theatres next Eid-ul-Fitr, the makers have confirmed.

The film generated buzz from the start of production in late 2024, with the team initially announcing a release during this year's Eid-ul-Fitr. Preparations had been underway accordingly, but plans were altered at the last moment. The makers later considered Eid-ul-Adha and even Durga Puja as possible release windows, but none materialised.

Putting an end to the prolonged uncertainty, director Zahid Jewel said the film will release during next year's Eid-ul-Fitr. "We took time because we wanted to deliver a good film. Every frame needed to be perfect, so we didn't rush. We hope audiences will enjoy Pinnick next Eid," he told the media.

Produced by Euro Bangla Entertainment, the film is co-produced by Shimul Khan, who also appears in the cast. He shared that the project was largely complete, except for one song sequence, which caused the delay.

"We were waiting to shoot a song. It was supposed to be finished months earlier, but Bubly was abroad at the time, which pushed our schedule back. We also took time in post-production to ensure nothing fell short," Shimul said.

A blend of mystery and psychological thriller, "Pinik" is described by director Jewel as a unique work. "We see many genres in our cinema—action, thriller, horror, romance—but with Pinnick we wanted to bring all of these flavours together. Viewers will move through suspense, thrill, and emotion. The story is strong enough to hold the audience until the end," he said.

Alongside Ador Azad and Shobnom Bubly, the cast includes Ali Raj, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Azad Abul Kalam, Momena Chowdhury, Masum Bashar, Somu Chowdhury, Sharif Siraj, AK Azad Setu, among other seasoned artistes. According to production sources, promotional activities for the film will begin soon.
