Duronto TV unveils Eid lineup with 14 dubbed foreign films
Bangladesh’s children’s television channel Duronto TV is set to present a diverse Eid lineup, featuring 14 foreign films dubbed in Bangla alongside its regular original programming.
In a departure from the usual star-driven Eid content across cinema halls, television and digital platforms, the channel is introducing a slate of international films aimed at younger audiences.
On Eid day, viewers can watch “Mubarak” and “The Smurfs”. The second day will feature “Surf’s Up” and “The Smurfs 2”, followed by “Open Season” and “Rana Silence” on the third day. The films will be broadcast over seven days, with two screenings daily at 3:00pm and 10:00pm.
In addition to the foreign film lineup, Duronto TV will also air a range of original Eid programmes. On Eid day, the schedule will include “Ronger Khelay Surer Bhelay” at 7:30am, followed by “Banai Mojar Khawar Ma-Baba Aar Ami” at 9:00am and 1:30pm, featuring guest Rafael and his mother.
Special episodes of “Ma-Babai Sera” will air at 9:30am and 6:30pm, with Khondokar Samiha Tajmin and her parents appearing as guests. The children’s band show “Durontopona”, featuring the band Aces, will be broadcast at 10:00am and 6:00pm.
Other programmes include “Dustu Misti” at 10:30am, the Eid serial drama “Hoi Hoi Holla – Season 3” at 1:00pm, and “Duronto Family” at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.
The channel will continue to air its special Eid programming lineup throughout the seven-day festival period.
