Warfaze postpones 'Forty Years Legacy Concert Tour'

Legendary Bangladeshi rock band Warfaze has announced the postponement of its much-anticipated "Forty Years Legacy Concert Tour" in Bangladesh, citing the country's current situation and difficulties in obtaining necessary permissions.

In an official statement shared with fans, the band said the anniversary tour has already been successfully staged in the United States in 2024, followed by performances in Australia in early 2025 and Canada during September–October. According to the original plan, Warfaze was set to begin a nationwide tour across Bangladesh from late October this year, alongside a gala concert scheduled for January.

The band revealed that preparations were well underway, with discussions finalised with multiple event management agencies. Several fellow artistes had also expressed interest in performing, while sponsors showed strong enthusiasm for the concerts.

However, Warfaze said the overall situation in the country over the past few months has made it impossible to proceed with the events. "Necessary permissions are not being granted, and in many cases concerts are being postponed or cancelled at the last moment," the statement noted, adding that such disruptions have resulted in significant losses for both artistes and organisers.

Taking the current reality and associated risks into consideration, the band stated that organising the Legacy Concert Tour and gala concert at this time would not be feasible or appropriate.

Warfaze expressed hope that if the situation improves and conditions become favourable toward the end of next year, they would reassess the circumstances and make renewed efforts to bring the concerts to Bangladesh.

The band concluded by apologising to fans for being unable to hold the nationwide tour and gala concert at this time, thanking them for their continued support and understanding.
