S I Tutul releases Eid songs, dedicates one to Ayub Bachchu
Bangladeshi singer S I Tutul has released two new songs this Eid from the United States, where he has been based for several years.
The tracks, titled “Bondhu Keu Noy” and “Tumi Krishok Bhalo Na”, were unveiled on his Facebook page and YouTube channel. “Tumi Krishok Bhalo Na” was released on the eve of Eid, while “Bondhu Keu Noy” premiered on Eid day.
The song “Bondhu Keu Noy” has been dedicated to late rock icon Ayub Bachchu. Written by Shahidul Haque Sohel, the track has been composed, arranged and performed by Tutul himself.
Sharing the release on social media, Tutul paid tribute to Bachchu, referring to him as his mentor and expressing prayers for his peace. Bachchu, founder of the legendary band LRB, was posthumously honoured with the Ekushey Padak this year.
Tutul was previously associated with LRB, where he performed as a keyboardist and backing vocalist before leaving the band around 2003. He later formed his own band, Face 2 Face, and continued his career as a solo artist.
With these new releases, Tutul adds to the Eid music lineup while honouring one of Bangladesh’s most influential rock musicians.
