DMCH physician killed in Lalmonirhat road accident

A physician of Dhaka Medical College Hospital was killed when a battery-run three-wheeler hit his motorbike on Lalmonirhat-Burimari highway under Aditmari upazila in Lalmonirhat this afternoon.

AFM Golam Ambiya Adil, son of Amzad Hossain, hailing from Khatapara village of the upazila, was a medical officer of the DMCH, our local correspondent reports quoting Saiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Aditmari Police Station.

Adil was returning home from Rangpur on a motorcycle when an oncoming battery-run three-wheeler hit the bike in Buribazar area on the highway around 3:30pm, leaving him seriously injured, the OC quoted witnesses.

Locals rescued Adil and took him to Aditmari Upazila Health Complex where attending doctor declared him dead, the police official said.
