Director Shafayet Mansoor's experimental AI-powered short film “Mind It” has been nominated at OMNI 1.5 HYPERPHANTASIA, presented by Envato.

The recognition comes shortly after the film won Best Indie Film at Spain's La Garriga Film Festival, marking another milestone in its growing international festival journey. “Mind It” was selected from a pool of more than 3,800 submissions from around the world.

The nomination carries added significance as the competition's jury panel included acclaimed filmmaker Alex Proyas, known for directing “I, Robot”, “The Crow”, and “Dark City”, as well as renowned artificial intelligence expert Professor Toby Walsh.

Reflecting on the achievement, Mansoor described “Mind It” as a project born out of experimentation rather than commercial ambition.

"What makes this special to me is that ‘Mind It’ was really a practical extension of my research into GenAI and immersive platforms," he said.

"I never expected a small experimental project like this to travel this far. Funny how a casual experiment to vent my thoughts can sometimes end up taking you places you never expected.”
