Jaya Ahsan wins Best Actress award for ‘Jimmi’

Acclaimed actor Jaya Ahsan has won the Best Actress award in the Critics’ Choice category for web series at the Meril-Prothom Alo Awards 2025 for her performance in “Jimmi”.
Directed by Ashfaque Nipun, the Hoichoi original marked her official debut in the Bangladeshi OTT space.
During the ceremony, Azizul Hakim and Afsana Mimi were present on stage alongside the director as the award was presented.
She received the honour for her role in the series, which earned critical appreciation for its storytelling and performances. The recognition adds to Jaya Ahsan’s long list of accolades, reaffirming her standing as one of the most versatile performers in the industry.
