Five cinema icons come together for Channel i’s ‘Smritimoy Ekti Din’

Five of Bangladeshi cinema’s most celebrated stars — Shabnam, Babita, Suchanda, Ujjal, and Alamgir — have come together for a special Channel i programme titled “Smritimoy Ekti Din”, offering audiences a rare glimpse into their shared memories and remarkable careers.

The reunion marked a rare occasion for the screen legends, many of whom met under one roof after several years. The special episode captures candid conversations filled with nostalgia, laughter and heartfelt reflections on their journeys in the film industry.

Throughout the programme, the artistes revisit memorable moments from their careers, sharing stories from film sets, experiences of shooting in the rain, their favourite co-stars and songs, as well as the milestones that shaped their lives on and off screen.

Hosted by veteran film journalist Abdur Rahman, the programme also delves into the stars’ personal lives, with the guests revealing several untold stories and intimate memories that they say have never been shared publicly before.

The special episode was filmed at Channel i’s studio and is scheduled to air on Friday (July 31) at 10:10pm.
