Rodoshi releases new song ‘Arektu’
Singer-songwriter Rodoshi Isfar Fatemi has released her latest song, “Arektu”, accompanied by a music video that pairs her soulful vocals with a visually soothing studio concept.
In the video, Rodoshi appears in an all-blue outfit, standing out against the predominantly white surroundings and performers around her. The contrast reflects the sense of dilemma at the heart of the song, while the choreography and minimalist visual treatment add to its overall appeal.
Rodoshi wrote, composed and arranged “Arektu”, while Raihan Mahbub Rasha handled the production, mixing and mastering. Samin Yasar played guitar on the track.
The song also features an all-female live band, with Joyoti Das on keyboard, Cynthia Rose Arjya on rhythm guitar, Upoma Dio Rattri on lead guitar, Faria Ulfath Syed on drums and Susmita Ghagra on bass.
The music video has drawn positive reactions from fans, with several viewers praising its concept and choreography. Rodoshi’s vocals were also appreciated.
Produced by The Fifth Take, the music video was conceptualised by Shanaj Parvin Jonaki, Anoy Chowdhury and Rodoshi Isfar Fatemi. Jonaki and Chowdhury also directed the video.
The video features Amlan Dey, Faiza Chowdhury, Israt Jahan Ikra, Riasat Salekin, Rijwooana Rashed Medha, Sifat Nourin Bonni and Tasmid Rafid.
