Reminiscence of life
When the time comes,
As I am lying on the floor,
Trying to gasp for my very last breath, I keep wondering,
What is more hypnotic?
The night sky filled with cosmos or the silence of seashores?
Then someone knocks at the door,
I look up to see,
And find there many known faces;
Staring at me.
I see a child, a boy and a man at his last hour,
They bring back memories of my life;
Some sweet, and some sour.
Many thoughts come as a last spark in my brain,
When I can’t seem to remember;
their smile at the end.
Were you all happy or sad?
Could I have done anything more?
That feeling eats me up inside,
Piercing through my bones.
All my life, they asked me why I was born.
Now I have all the answers.
but the time is gone.
They smile at me and tell me not to worry.
But I only feel as if they are just trying to console.
They tell me to say my goodbyes, but
How can I leave!
After all the things that I know I;
Could have done differently.
So, I cry and beg for one more chance.
They replied that we were given;
more than once.
Still one last wish comes to mind,
If there was a possibility that, if ever could I;
Be able to forget every evil thing;
that ever came across in my lifetime.
But as all the good things aren’t leaving my side,
How can I expect to leave something else behind?
Just as nature embraces spring with flowers like winter does snow,
Now I am leaving the earth with;
All the things that I know.
