A peek into Kiriti Saha’s introspective art
Kiriti Shaha is a contemporary artist who expresses himself through multidisciplinary work. He completed his Bachelor’s in Painting from the Fine Arts Department of Chittagong University, and is now pursuing his Master’s, while experimenting with new mediums of art. He exhibited his work at the 22nd Young Artists Art Exhibition, Chobi Mela Shunno, Miniature Art Exhibition, as well as Talpatachitra and Pata Chitra Exhibition, among other events. He also participated in the Shannidhya Artist Residency programme at Kala Kendra in 2021. Following his recent exhibition titled, “Mapping Ideas” at EMK Center, he talks about his journey into the art world in a conversation with The Daily Star.

Shilpakala Academy introduces curated zone at 24th National Art Exhibition

Behind Tejosh Halder Josh’s powerful sculptures
Tejosh Halder Josh is a skilled sculptor from Gopalganj, Bangladesh. Born in 1982, he had an affinity towards sculpting since childhood. It first grew in the second grade, when he was asked to create a structure out of mud. Sculpting amuses him, as he finds power in being able to physically touch his art. Tejosh is also drawn towards the materials used in his art, due to their unique properties.

Emmy-winning artist Rubaiat Habib reflects on his journey
Rubaiat Habib from Bangladesh is one of the members of the ‘Character Animator’ team that won an Emmy last year, in the technology and engineering category. Currently living in Seattle, Rubaiat completed his undergraduate studies in Computer Science and Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
