Body with stab wounds recovered in Bogura
The body of a shop employee was found on a road near his residence in Bogura's Sadar upazila early today.
The deceased was identified as Shafiul Islam Piplu, 35, son of late Aynul Kazi of Matidali Uttar Para in the upazila. Shafiul was an employee of a grocery store at Raza bazar of the district town, reports our Bogura correspondent.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Locals spotted Shafiul's body on a road in Matidali area around 12:00am and informed police, said Selim Reza, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
The body was found with eyes gouged and stab wounds on the face and chest, the OC said.
The killer or killers did not take his phone, wallet, or other belongings, said the OC.
"We suspect that it was a pre-planned murder," said the OC, adding that they are trying to identity those involved in the murder.
