4 arrested in connection with rape of tenth grader in Madaripur

Four persons including the prime accused were arrested today in connection with the rape of a 10th grader at Jhaudi village under Madaripur Sadar upazila.

The victim's father filed a rape case yesterday with Madaripur Sadar police station accusing Abdur Rahman Akan as prime accused and Rabik Munshi, Murad Sardar and Alauddin Kabiraj as the other accused, reports our Faridpur correspondent quoting Shahidul Islam, inspector (investigation) of Madaripur Sadar Police Station.

Quoting the case statement, Inspector Shahidul said, Akon who was married had a love affair with the victim over phone hiding his marital status and made her false promises of marriage and then raped her.

Following the case, police arrested them from different places of the district, said police.
