18 teen gang members arrested in Dhaka: Rab

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) have arrested 18 members of a "teen gang" from different parts of Dhaka.

The arrestees were allegedly involved in theft, robbery and other crimes, according to a press release issued by Rab in this regard.

The teenagers were held during separate drives carried out by Rab-2 from last night till this morning in Lalbagh, Tejgaon and Tejgaon industrial area of Dhaka, the release states.

During primary interrogation, the arrestees admitted to being involved in drug use, harassing girls, extortion, blackmailing, and other crimes.

Rab will continue crackdown on criminals based on the information gleaned from the arestees, the release adds.
