Woman beaten to death

A woman was killed allegedly by her drug addict husband at Ashkur village in Gobindagnaj upazila of the district on Tuesday. The deceased is Anjuara Begum, 35, wife of Monir Hossain of the village. In the evening, Monir beat Anjuara mercilessly, leaving her dead on the spot following an altercation. The law enforcers later arrested Monir in this connection, said Mozammel Huq, officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Police Station.
