Two fake policemen arrested

Police arrested two fake policemen at Hatgopalpur in Sadar upazila on Monday noon. The arrestees are Anik Mia, 24, son of Botu Mia of Hajipur village in Magura Sadar upazila, and Rocky Hossain, 28, son of Nantu Joardar of the village. Police said the two posing themselves as the police officers intercepted a youth in the area around 10:00am and demanded Tk 300 from him. At one stage, they locked into an altercation. On information, on-duty policemen in the area rushed to the spot and asked them to show their identity cards but they failed. The law enforcers also seized Tk 1300, two cellphones and a motorcycle from their possession.
