Trader found dead in Patuakhali

Police recovered the body of a trader from Alipur Bazar under Kalapara upazila in the district yesterday morning.

The deceased was identified as petrol trader Abdul Mannan Gazi, 40, of Maitebhanga village in the upazila.

Locals found the body in the area around 7:00am and informed the police.

The law enforcers rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Patuakhali General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

He might have been hacked to death, said Md Moniruzzaman, in-charge of Kuakata naval outpost.
