Tourist goes missing in Bandarban

A tourist from Dhaka went missing while crossing a canal when returning from Nafakhum waterfall in Bandarban's Thanchi upazila this morning.

Kazi Zakarul Islam (35), went missing when he along with some of his friends was crossing Remakri canal while returning from Nafakhum waterfall around 11:00am, Saifuddin Mohammad Shawon, sub-inspector of Thanchi Police Station, said quoting Mohaiminul Islam, who was with the group.

The area is very remote and members of police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and locals were trying to locate Zakarul, a resident of Cantonment area in Dhaka, the official said.
