Tk 2,194.44cr revenue collected through deed registrations in 3 months

The Directorate of Registration has collected Tk 2,194.44 crore as revenue through conducting registrations of deeds in the last three months of July, August and September.

Inspector General of Registration (IGR) Shahidul Alarm Jhinuk sent a letter to the law ministry yesterday to this effect, saying that the sub-registry offices across the country have completed the registrations of 3,62,235 deeds while strictly following the health guidelines in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Six officials under the Directorate of Registration had been infected with Covid-19 and most of them have recovered from the infection, he said, adding that 79 posts of sub registrars are now lying vacant across the country.
