Teenage boy arrested for raping Grade 3 student in Cumilla

A teenage boy was arrested yesterday afternoon on charge of raping a Grade III student at Cumilla's Burichang upazila.

The boy is 15 years old, reports our local correspondent quoting Masud Khan, inspector (investigation) of Burichang Police Station.

The inspector said they have sent the victim to Cumilla Medical College Hospital for medical examination and treatment.

Earlier yesterday, the victim's mother filed a case with Burichang Police Station against the boy on charge of raping her daughter.

According to the case statement, on September 30, the teenage boy took the girl to a cattle shed, luring her with Tk 10 and raped her.

Later, the victim informed her mother, who took her to a village doctor for treatment, it stated.
