Sinha murder: court issues arrest warrant against fugitive accused

A Cox's Bazar court today issued arrest warrant against a fugitive accused Sagar Dev in Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan murder case.

Sagar Dev is former assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Teknaf Police Station.

Judge Tamanna Farah of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-4 in Cox's Bazar Sadar came up with the arrest warrant order after accepting a charge sheet of the murder case, our Cox's Bazar correspondent reports.

The court also acquitted an accused – Saidul Islam Sifat – today, said Faridul Alam, public prosecutor of Cox's Bazar District and Sessions Judge's Court.

The accused was present at the court.

Rapid Action Battalion's Senior ASP Md Khairul Islam on December 13 submitted the charge sheet against 15 accused.

Fourteen of the 15 accused remain in jail.
