Sec 144 in Nabinagar upazila

The local administration has imposed Section 144 in Pilot High School area of Nabinagar upazila under the district on Saturday. The restriction will remain in force from 6:00pm on the day until further notice. Police said there was a longstanding conflict between Abdur Rahim, organising secretary of the upazila unit of Awami League, and Khairul Amin, joint general secretary of the municipality unit of the party, over occupying a government land adjacent to the school. In the evening, as a chaotic situation erupted at the arbitration meeting, the upazila nirbahi officer imposed the restriction to avert any untoward incident.
