Madrasa teacher suspended for sexually harassing 3 minor girls

A teacher of a madrasa has been suspended for sexually harassing three minor students of his institution in Parbatipur upazila of Dinajpur, the madrasa authorities said.

The authorities of Shialkot Alim Madrasa suspended its teacher Kari Abdul Mannan, 55, on Sunday, said Aktaruzzaman, acting principal of the institution.

According to the victim girls and their parents, the accused teacher harassed the 3 girls (aged between 7 to 8 years) at their classroom on April 30.

After getting a complaint from the family members, the madrasa authority took the decision at an emergency meeting on May 2.
