Lightning kills schoolboy

A schoolboy was killed by lightning at Karjana village in Ghior upazila yesterday.

The deceased is Shah Alam, 14, a Class VIII student of Karjana ABN High School,

Mazharul Islam Badsha, chairman of Barotia Union Parishad, said Shah Alam, son of Shamsher Ali, was struck by a thunderbolt while staying at their tin-shed house during heavy rain around 7:00am.

Critically injured Alam was rushed to Shibalaya Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared him dead.
