Lightning kills one

A man was killed by lightning at Ghatabeel-Sahapara village in Badarganj upazila under the district yesterday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Amal Chandra, 40, son of Budaru Chandra of the village. Md Abdul Latif Mian, officer-in-charge of Badarganj Police Station, said a thunderbolt struck Amal when he went out of home to bring his cattle from the nearby field. He later died at the upazila health complex.
