Lightning kills fisherman

A fisherman was killed by lightning in Hakaluki Haor area at Gobindopur village in Juri upazila of the district yesterday morning.  The deceased is Nunu Miah, 40, of Chowdhury Bazar village. Police and locals said a thunderbolt struck Nunu while he was fishing in the haor (a large water body). He died on the spot.
