Kid drowns in canal

A four-year-old boy drowned in a canal at Charakhali village in Zianagar upazila of the district yesterday. The victim is Baizid, son of Sohag Mia, a day labourer of the village. Quoting victim's family members, police said Baizid went to take a bath in the canal near their house on Wednesday afternoon and went missing. Around 10:30am yesterday, locals spotted his body floating in the Baleshwar Canal.
