Jubo League man stabbed to death

A Jubo League activist was stabbed to death and three others were injured by a gang in Jessore town early yesterday.

The dead is Manik, 26, and son of Anwar Ali of Kazipara area of the town. The injured are Jahangir Hossain, 23, son of Kanshon, Lipon Ali, 24, son of Mohammad Ali, and Asadul, 22, son of Abdul Alim of the area.

Police said Manik and the three were going to a tea stall in Chuadanga bus stand area when the criminals stabbed them.

Locals rescued them and sent them to Jessore Medical College Hospital where Manik succumbed to his injuries at 12:30am. Police arrested six people in this connection.
