Journalist Kajol could be released from jail in one or two days, hopes son

The process of releasing incarcerated photojournalist Shafiqul Islam Kajol is underway.

The case documents were supposed to reach the judge today. Some other formalities will remain even after the documents reach.

"The release of my father may take one or two more days as the case documents did not reach the judge today," Kajol's son Monorom Polok told The Daily Star.

He hoped that his father would be home soon.

"Hopefully, our father as well as we will return to a normal life," he said.

Saying that they are now eagerly waiting to get their father back, he thanked everyone, including media and lawyers, for standing by his father.
