JMB suspect arrested

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested an alleged member of banned Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Chechua Bazar area in Muktagachha upazila on Wednesday.

The arrestee is Rafiqul Islam alias Rabi, 35, of Chechua village. Rab handed him over to police.

He is an accused in two cases filed with Muktagachha Police Station, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Mohammad Fazlul Karim.

The arrestee was later produced in a Mymensingh court that sent him to jail, the OC added.
