Jamaat leader arrested at jail gate

A Jamaat leader, released on bail from Pabna jail yesterday, was arrested again at the jail gate.

Md Abdul Latif, 45, Ameer of Pabna municipality unit of Jamaat, was shown arrested in a case for carrying out subversive activities in Ataikula upazila, police said.

Officer-in-Charge Md Ahsanul Haque of Pabna Sadar police station said, police arrested Latif from the jail gate at around 12:30pm in connection with the case.

On January 13, police arrested Latif from in front of Pabna Darul Aman Trust in a case for violence in the town, the OC added.
