Illegal assets: ACC approves charge sheet against GK Shamim, his mother Ayesha Akter

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today approved the charge sheet against GK Shamim and his mother Ayesha Akter for acquiring illegal assets worth near Tk 300 crore.

The approval was given after a long investigation.

Shamim and his mother were charged with acquiring illegal assets worth Tk 298.08 crore on October 21 last year. ACC Deputy Director Saladin filed a case against them.

Shamim was known as an influential contractor in Sabujbagh, Basabo and Motijheel areas of the capital.
