'Human trafficker' held in Teknaf

Police last night detained an alleged human trafficker in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar.
The detainee, Md Yusuf, 55, is a member of international trafficker gang, said Ataur Rahman Khandakar, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Acting on tip-off, law enforcers conducted a raid at Leda village around 10:00pm and detained Yusuf from his neighbour's house, the OC said.
Yusuf, accused in a number of cases, was hiding at the house to avoid arrest amid police action against the traffickers, he added.
