Fire at knitting factories in Narayanganj, no casualty reported

Fire broke out at two adjacent knitting factories in Narayanganj Sadar upazila this evening.

No casualty was reported, our Narayanganj correspondent reports.

The fire broke out around 6:45pm is now under control, said Morshed Sarder, station operator of Fatullah Fire Service station.

Three units of the local Fire Service and Civil Defence station were on the spot to extinguish the blaze.

Quoting locals, he said that the fire first originated from jhuts kept at Maisha knitting factory and later spread to an adjacent factory (name not known).

The actual cause and losses incurred from the fire could not be known immediately, he added.
