Elderly man strangled

Police recovered the body of an elderly man from Birganj upazila in the district on Monday night. The deceased was identified as Saheb Ali, 85, of Arjunahar village in the upazila. Locals found the body under a bridge of the Patharghata River around 9:30pm and informed the police. Police recovered the body and sent it to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Jahangir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Birganj Police Station. Criminals might have strangled Saheb Ali, said police.
